Have you ever wondered exactly where the Aura retail and restaurants will be moving into the layout of the podium at the Shops at Aura? With only the Bed Bath & Beyond and the Bank of Montreal currently open in the building, there is a lot of extra empty space that bears to resemblance to any of the Aura retail and restaurants they have been announcing.
In taking a sneak peek around the lower level of Aura and poking around the touch screen maps placed there for lost customers, I’ve at least found out where some of the retail and restaurants will be going.
For example, here is the guided map to Canyon Creek, which will be located with an entrance off of Gerrard Street. From the looks of it, Canyon Creek will be a narrow sliver of a restaurant, however, maybe they’ll be sharing part of the space (or the kitchen) with Alice Fazooli’s.
Next up is Alice Fazooli’s, which is neighbouring the Canyon Creek in a spot on Gerrard Street:
And lastly, next to the Bank of Montreal that is currently up and running will be another competing bank, Royal Bank of Canada. It is positioned right next door to the BMO:
The word on the street is that the 4th floor gym will be part of the brand name “Hard Candy Fitness”, a company co-founded by Madonna that has a few existing international locations right now in major cities around the globe. Nothing is stated on the touch screen yet to reveal whether this is true, however I do know that whatever gym or fitness studio moves into the space, they will have the entire 4th floor to play with.
